Demo

Its been demo time at this old house, that was, until the temperature dropped to the teens, then below the teens and we are now through a blizzard and one more is coming our way. So demo aside and it has been insulation time. I have wrapped the pipes that lead through the house in the basement with that nasty formaldehyde glass (over the heating wires that you plug in to keep the pipes from freezing). And now I am on my third can of great stuff. Remodeling presents me with moral dilemmas daily as I want to do these things in a "green" way. Unfortunately insulation is not green unless you are planning on stuffing hay bales into your walls. So now after much deliberation we are shopping (shopping is the answer to all problems) for the heavy shit. High r-value. If the house is energy efficient then it shall be ipso facto, green? Great stuff sticks to skin, wear gloves (or read the label)

Good luck with the house project--I look forward to seeing more photos!

Big Hugs and Lots of Love to you both,
